As part of our 'Geisha' collection we have taken the authentic design of a Japanese Geisha Parasol or 'Kinugasa' and created a stunningly beautiful pendant cast in solid Sterling Silver.
Hand carved, this original and unique design illustrates in fine detail all the components of the Japanese Parasol in a multi dimensional form. The craftsman has also hand engraved patterns from the silk and cleverly textured the silver to replicate the materials used.
The pendant suspends from a good quality sterling silver chain which slides through a concealed bail at it's rear and allows the pendant to sit beautifully flat on the neck.
This pendant is a numbered piece and as such is supplied in a presentation box and accompanied by a brand tag and a certificate of authenticity.
This pendant is a substantial piece measuring 40mm in diameter and weighs an impressive 14.5 grams plus the chain.
Japanese Parasols 'Kinugasa' were seen as a status symbol and reserved for the elite of Japanese society including Geisha.
Also available is a matching piece which is embellished in 18ct rose gold and set with a diamond.
