This is a very, deadly good stuff! I bought the same in 1994 in Paris, brought it in Ukraine and have used it for over 25 years in my training. The wood was more soft than this one, and that is why lighter a bit. The bearings require regular oiling, however there is no need for painting for the wood doesn’t suck moisture. Deadly beautiful!
Good bearings, smooth action but be aware these are around 450g so you need some wrist strength. The wood seems to be very dense. I warm up with lighter ones before using these to avoid injury.
