Same weight, size and balance of a live blade
Reduces risk of injury whilst training
Slightly flexible allowing for shock absorption
Polypropylene plastic
72.5cm blade and 23cm handle

Designed to have the same weight, size and balance of a live blade whilst greatly reducing the risk of injury whilst training. Made of Polypropylene plastic, the Tai Chi Sword is virtually unbreakable and a much more durable material compared to traditional wooden training aids. The sword is slightly flexible allowing for better shock absorption when striking hard objects or sparring with other training weapons. Dimensions: 72.5cm blade and 23cm handle.

Feels great to use and duel, seems very durable

Perfect hand-and-a-half sword for duelling with a friend, the balance point is very close to the handle (I haven’t held a real sword so I can’t say if it’s realistic).

It hasn’t broken yet so I’d say it’s quite durable, though I haven’t really tested its strength. The blade is a little flexible, which I think is a good thing as the bend will take away some of the force of hits.

One problem with it is that the handle has a completely round circumference, which means you can’t judge the way the sword is facing like if the handle was oval, but it’s not a big deal and doesn’t make much difference.

The pummel is also removable so you can customise it I think, and though it doesn’t come off easily it did fall off at one point, so be careful about that.

Overall I’m really happy with it and it’s great value.

Much better than its price would suggest

A really nice product with good weight and balance - it feels comfortable to use and should last a very long time. It is ideal for any light contact training and very good value for money.
As always, great service from Sam and the team at MartialArtshop.co.uk
