A lovely wooden broadsword for training

Posted by Kelly on 17th May 2022

Bought for learning tai chi broadsword and this is perfect for my training including outdoors. Light enough to move easily and quickly, and to improve wrist/arm flexibility. But it's sturdy and well made. It looks good and I love the simplicity, compared with a wobbly aluminium sword, while it feels more 'alive'/flexible than a polypropylene sword.

    Just what I needed

Can't wave my real broadsword around in the street so this was exactly what I needed. Nice and sturdy and survived me drilling holes in the hilt to attach flags.

Nice looking and well made. It feels good to hold and not too heavy in the hand.

I ordered a Chinese wooden broadsword which to my surprise arrived just a few days after I placed my order. I am very pleased with the quality of the product as well .

Broadsword (red oak) suitable for Tai Chi sabre form

Posted by mark blackwell on 10th Jan 2018

just what I was looking for, I was using my steel sword for practicing Tai Chi sabre but was concerned because it is sharp and we were quite close together, I can now practice safe in the knowledge that if anybody missteps they will only suffer a bruise.

    Better than expected!

Posted by Ash on 8th Sep 2017

The red oak broadsword looks so much better in person than it does in the picture. I found it relatively lightweight and easy to grip and wield. It is lifelike and feels just like the real thing. It can also take a fairly hard knock from other wooden weapons without taking considerable damage.
